The Discovery Exotic Electro Acoustic features one of Tanglewood's most iconic body shapes, the Super Folk. This shape was first introduced over 25 years ago on their award winning TW45 Sundance Pro guitar. The super folk cutaway body has become a must have among folk players because it's a bigger version of traditional folk guitars, offering more volume and tone in a comfortable shape. The cutaway design enables players to reach more challenging chords with ease. The super folk can handle many genres with equal ease, and will cut through a live mix greatly.

Mahogany Neck & Eboncore Fingerboard
The mahogany neck assists with sustain and resonance, while the satin finish is light enough to let the woods 'breathe' and resonate more fully. The Discovery Exotic Guitar has an eboncore fingerboard; a composite material with a balanced response across its whole length. Eboncore (and other similar materials) are increasingly being used, representing the fact that many different brands are now looking towards more environmentally-responsible materials for guitar production. Tanglewood TW-EX4 Preamp
The Tanglewood Discovery Exotic comes equipped with Tanglewood's own TW-EX4 electronics, offering a whole host of sounds ready for the stage and studio. This pickup and preamp system features a 4-band EQ, which includes slider tone controls for bass, mid, treble, and presence for the perfect level of tone shaping to suit a variety of settings. Additionally, the TW-EX4 also has a separate rotary volume control and an on-board digital chromatic tuner, offering precise and easy tuning for both practice and gigging environments.
