Description
The Tanglewood Crossroads Parlour Electro Acoustic Guitar is an affordable addition to Tanglewood's leading Crossroads series which provides iconic Tanglewood quality and tone at a competitive price. Constructed from a mahogany body with a rich sounding mahogany top, the TWCR PE produces a warm and rich tonality whilst the resonant mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard ensure a smooth and energetic playability. The parlour shape ensures a comfortable playing experience for all player shapes and sizes. Why not take your Tanglewood Crossroads to the stage with its on-board, easy-usable preamp, perfect for any level of player.

The Parlour Shape
The parlour shape was originally designed to be small and comfortable enough to play sat down. Today, the parlour shape covers a wide spectrum of guitars, from traditional western styles to electro-acoustic one-of-a-kind boutique builds. The name refers to old reception function rooms, this is where these guitars first started being played, they have now been labelled parlour because of the types of venues they originally were played in. This parlour guitar is smaller than a concert shaped guitar, and features an elongated body, providing an increased volume despite its small size. The parlour shape ensures a comfortable playing experience, especially for smaller framed people due to its delicate curved structure and slim waist.

Body Tonewoods
Built with a mahogany top and body, and a rosewood fingerboard, players can achieve a variety of tones. Mahogany delivers a warm, bright midi-range, and a thick well defined tone perfect for many playing styles. Mahogany is used a lot in the acoustic world, as it is relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant.

Mahogany Neck
The mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, that delivers a warm, bright, and sparkly tone that really shines through when using finger picking techniques. The reason why many guitar necks are made from mahogany is because the wood responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease. With the unique whiskey barrel burst satin vintage finish, rosewood fingerboard, and dot position markers, the Tanglewood Crossroads offers excellent playability and stunning looks.

On-board Preamp
The Tanglewood Crossroads is equipped with an on-board Tanglewood TW-EX4 preamp, along with a built in digital chromatic tuner for instant volume when using an amplifier. Players can easily find their perfect sound using the 4-band EQ with slider tone controls for bass, mids, treble, and presence, along with a separate control turner for volume. The built-in digital chromatic tuner enables players to tune their guitars on the go, and quickly re-tune in-between songs.
